QIROI is a boutique healthcare consulting company that helps direct-care organizations to improve quality in ways that drive ROI. QIROI’s team uses a unique approach that combines two fundamental skills:
- A deep knowledge of healthcare quality that includes extensive examples from healthcare organizations around the world that have used high-quality care to drive cost reductions and revenue increases
- A unique and proven approach to convening multistakeholder experts and reaching consensus on actionable solutions to the most difficult problems in healthcare quality
Whether QIROI is guiding your organization through a one-time quality improvement project or partnering with you on a multi-year transformation to marry quality with ROI, our team is with you every step of the way, from building staff buy-in to engaging patients as partners in change.
Our Differentiators
QIROI is not a typical consultant. As a boutique firm comprised of diverse quality experts, QIROI partners with only a few organizations each year and actively participates in strategizing and executing new approaches to quality.

Accountability
Your success is our success, and we aid with strategy and implementation to maximize improvement opportunities

Our Mission
QIROI builds bridges between healthcare quality and return on investment by reaching consensus with the right people across direct-care organizations

Principal and Founder
Chuck Amos is a healthcare quality leader whose career mission is to build bridges across healthcare that improve outcomes for everyone. He served on the senior leadership team at National Quality Forum (NQF) and Joint Commission, where he led dozens of national quality improvement initiatives and facilitated hundreds of consensus-based discussions with healthcare leaders from around the world. He is a recognized speaker, writer, facilitator, and consensus-builder, and whether he is convening international experts to provide guidance or securing buy-in for a project at a local clinic, he understands how effective quality improvement initiatives engage every person at a given table. His work focuses on the hardest problems in healthcare, including elevating the voices of patients through patient-reported outcomes, improving how clinicians identify and treat mental health conditions, and addressing social drivers of health in clinical settings. Chuck directed national and international quality projects at National Quality Forum (NQF) and the Joint Commission, led patient-reported outcomes initiatives at MedStar Orthopedics, and implemented a transformative quality improvement program at Health Care for the Homeless in Baltimore. Before moving into health quality, he spent a decade working on EHR systems at the Johns Hopkins Hospital. Chuck earned his MBA in Medical Services Management and his BS in Healthcare Information Systems from the Johns Hopkins Carey Business School.
